Tanti Auguri a Me ... Turning 60 in Roma

Salve, amici! I am very behind on posts due to a combination of factors, including feeling held back by (and a little down about) the slower-than-expected recovery of my knee as well as the unreliable speed of the internet connection at our house that has made uploading photos very laborious. But something about turning 60 today seems to have reinvigorated me. (Tanti auguri a me, tanti auguri a me, tanti auguri a me … the photo is the birthday pastry Brad brought home for me. We had a quiet day because Brad is coming down with a cold but plan to celebrate tomorrow night.) Anyway, I’ve resolved to backtrack to add (and shamelessly back-date) posts for the missing period … sorry that you’ll see lots of posts show up over the next few days. Many will be dated before this one—probably a real sin in the blogging world, but I don’t know what I’m doing!! Ciao, Brigid

  1. Happy Birthday to you!!!! So glad to have you posting again, Brigid. I love the photos and hearing about daily life in Rome - and I especially love the food details! Living vicariously is better than nothing. Sorry to hear your knee is still causing you difficulty, but hang in there.

  2. I doubt that back-dating is anywhere near the top of the list of blogging sins. And Rome's a pretty good place to be if you're sinning. . . There's a church on every corner where you can pop in and ask for a little forgiveness.

  3. Thanks for the comments, friends. It is a challenge to get a blogging schedule in place. Life is surprising busy and the intermittent slowness of the internet is a real drag. We're having it upgraded but not sure how long it will take. Life is good but it is weird not to have commitments. I guess that is part of the purpose here, to see who you are without them! Miss you! Come visit!
